An NFL analyst has come under fire again after making derogatory statements against a coach during the last Super Bowl. Fat shaming in sports is not new, but NFL fans have called for the football analyst to be disciplined because of the comments. According to disappointed fans, a disciplinary measure against the NFL analyst will deter other analysts who engage in fat shaming. Terry Bradshaw came under the spotlight again for the wrong reasons after commenting that many NFL fans found irresponsible and derogatory.

During the Super Bowl 2023, after Kansas City defeated the Eagles 38-35, Terry Bradshaw made comments that infuriated many football fans. Terry Bradshaw is known for being quite quirky with the mic. He has made comments in the past that have raised many eyebrows.

During the post-game interview of the Super Bowl 2023, Terry Bradshaw, while anchoring the interview, had called on Chiefs coach Andy Reid in a manner that many fans found distasteful. While inviting Andy Reid to come over for an interview, Bradshaw had told him to "waddle over" while referencing his weight.

With the Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, Terry Bradshaw called over to Andy Reid while saying, "Big guy. Let me get the big guy in here. Come on, waddle over here." The 64-year-old Andy Reid had surprisingly crossed over to the podium and had the interview without visibly getting offended by the remarks Terry Bradshaw had made towards him. Even while moving on with the interview, Bradshaw called on him, saying, "Have a cheeseburger on us." Despite these remarks, Reid was very excited during the interview and described himself as a "chubby guy." But NFL fans didn't find the remarks funny as the Chief's head coach had done. They said Terry Bradshaw should be cautioned and disciplined for fat shaming in sports.

Fans' Reaction to Bradshaw's Remarks

Fans' reaction to the remarks made by Terry Bradshaw was that of anger. Many said that Bradshaw is fond of making derogatory statements against sports personalities and should be penalized for such behavior. Especially on Twitter, many fans were infuriated about how Bradshaw interacts with those who he is interviewing. Such behavior needs to stop as it breeds negativity within the sporting space.

One of the NFL fans on Twitter said they didn't find the cheeseburger comments a bad statement, as Reid is known for his love for cheeseburgers. The only part of the statement they weren't comfortable with was telling Reid to "waddle over."

"I don’t think the cheeseburger comment crossed the line but ‘waddling over her’ certainly did. I think it may be time for Terry Bradshaw to step down," the NFL fan said on Twitter. For many years now, Andy Reid has been famous for his love for the cheeseburger delicacy. Even during his most famous moments, he had expressed his love for food. When the Chiefs won the Super Bowl in 2020, he made his love for cheeseburgers known when he said, "I’m going to get the biggest cheeseburger you’ve ever seen."
