Lamar Jackson's contract talks with the Ravens have not been going as expected. The famous football player, in a tweet, said the Ravens' contract talks weren't matching up with his value.

The American football player made his opinion public after he wrote a letter to his fans worldwide. He had stated why he wouldn't be renewing his long-term contract with the Ravens at the moment. According to him, the monetary value the franchise has placed on him is nowhere near his expectations.

In the tweet, Lamar Jackson started by thanking his fans for their love and support. He said, "A letter to my Fans

I want to first thank you all for all of the love and support you consistently show towards me. All of you are amazing and I appreciate y’all so much. I want you all to know not to believe everything you read about me."

He then proceeded to tell his fans about the situation surrounding his contract situation. He made it known that he likes the club's fans, but the management wasn't meeting his expectations. "Let me personally answer your questions in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl. You all are great but I had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I. No matter how far I go or where my career takes me, I’ll continue to be close to my fans of Baltimore Flock nation and the entire State of Maryland. You’ll See me again," Lamar Jackson said.

What Impact Does Lamar Jackson Trade Request Have on the Bears?

Whichever team Lamar Jackson gets if his trade request is granted, it will undoubtedly impact the Bears, who sit at the number 9 position of the draft. The Detroit Lions seem to be in the pole position to sign Lamar Jackson if his contract issues with the Ravens are not settled fast. Adding Jackson to their team would be part of the finishing touches in their rebuilding process. The Detroit Lions would be looking to compete and win the next Super Bowl, and Lamar Jackson seems to be the perfect finishing piece.

Although the Lions have Jared Goff, Lamar Jackson's stats offer something that he does not, and that is playmaking. Despite Jared Goff's offensive capabilities, Lamar Jackson seems to offer something rare for other quarterbacks in the NFL. Apart from the positions, moving to the Detroit Lions is still an issue for the bears. Lamar Jackson moving to the Lions would change the chances the Bears have with the picks in the draft.

The Panthers and Houston Texans also seem to be potential homes for Lamar Jackson, but both of them also change the chances the Bears have in the draft. The Colts could also make a move as they need a quarterback like Jackson, but it also poses a problem for the Bears.
