Golden State Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr provides an injury update on Stephen Curry as the Warriors look to maintain their perfect form in the NBA preseason. The team faced an injury scare when star Stephen Curry had to exit their preseason match against the Sacramento Kings over a hand injury.

Curry had to leave the game during the second quarter and could not return, raising widespread concerns among fans. Coach Steve Kerr has provided an important update on Curry’s condition after the incident.

Steph Curry’s Injury Situation

Steve Curry began the game strong, tallying 6 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, and 1 three-pointer in 16 minutes before pulling out of the game due to injury. Thankfully, although his absence was observable on the squad, the Warriors demonstrated their competitiveness without the star athlete.

Responding to the rampant concerns about Curry's health, coach Kerr clarified that he removed the player on precautionary grounds, affirming that there was no significant cause for alarm.

"I was assured at halftime that he was fine. X-rays were negative. It wasn't anything too concerning. But yeah, you always get nervous when he gets hurt," Kerr informed reporters.

Despite Curry's absence, the Warriors still managed to oust the Kings 109-106, with Moses Moody leading the scoring charts with 23 points. Kerr observes that the team will closely monitor Curry's recovery and hopes he can return to the court soon.

However, the Warriors, whose new Chase Center has survived controversies to become one of the league's standout arenas, have to cope with the departure of Klay Thompson. Thompson, alongside Curry and Draymond Green, represented a stellar era for Golden State.

After the trio won four NBA championships together, Thompson has chosen to pursue new opportunities in Dallas. Curry disclosed that he learned about Thompson's departure when he arrived at his team's training camp.

Curry remarked that Thompson's departure was entirely surprising for him. "We never really thought it would end," he said. Curry added, "Klay would usually enter the practice facility coming off his boat, with his Dockers on, whatever outfit he had. HE just had a presence about him, a lightness when he came into the room. And his one-liners were always great. Life throws a lot of curveballs in sports. You're used to seeing people change places and teams. (However), up until about a week before he decides to sign with Dallas."
