The Baltimore Ravens Confirms That Former Indianapolis Colts Cornerback Rock Ya-Sin has been signed into The Team.

When Raven's new signing was announced on  Twitter, Rock with it!!. We have signed cornerback Rock Ya-Sin. There were speculations as to if Rock Ya-Sin Contract would perform as awesome as he was being praised, and there were ranges of comments on the post.

One user said; Man, I hope he is good the way he is being praised! While another commented Ravens are desperate just to sign anybody.

The Ravens have been on the lookout for a starting cornerback following the not re-signing of Marcus Peters in free agency. Ya-Sin is projected to start alongside three-time Pro Bowl defender Marlon Humphrey.

The Ravens had been meeting with Ya-Sin since March when he was on a free-agent visit to Baltimore, and he agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million per multiple reports hours after undergoing a physical at the Ravens facility. Baltimore waited until after the NFL compensatory pick formula deadline before finally signing the deal. The Ravens being patient to sign him until after May 1 is not against the Ravens receiving a fourth-round compensatory pick in 2024 for losing guard Ben Powers, who signed a $52 million four-year deal with the Denver Broncos in March.

27-year-old Ya-Sin played for three seasons in Indianapolis before being traded to Las Vegas last offseason. He missed the October and December time due to knee injuries. Now healthy, Ya-Sin would probably be the favorite to start across from Marlon Humphrey for a Ravens squad with poor depth at cornerback.

In 2019, Ya-Sin was a second-round draft pick of the Colts. He has five passes defended in all his seasons in the NFL. However, he has just two career interceptions and hasn't registered more than 45 career tackles since his rookie year.

The team selected Stanford CB Kyu Blu Kelly in the fifth round. It used one of its six eventual draft picks on a cornerback and is still expected to add to that position if an opportunity arises. Veteran cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Kyle Fuller, who have been with the Ravens for the past four and one years, respectively, and Shaquill Griffin are still available and could land in Baltimore.

General Manager Eric DeCosta said during the draft last month. "I tell you, that's an important position "… As you guys all know, you've seen us, we realize the value of that position, and we'll continue to address that through the draft and via other means. There are a lot of opportunities out there for us to get better at that position, and the draft is certainly a part of that."

Ya-sin Says It's The Right Season

When Ya-Sin was asked what convinced him to sign his new contract with Baltimore, he said, "Great players on offense and defense. I think we're set to win now. The right kind of culture and the right fit for me. It's the right play style, aggressive, the kind of division I want to play in, the kind of football I want to play. I think it's the right fit for me."
