In 2023, a Kansas City Chiefs duo will face off against a Golden State Warriors duo, featuring both NFL and NBA stars.
The Splash Brothers will take their talents to the golf course as they face off, challenging Kansas City Chiefs superstars and reigning Super Bowl champions Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce for the eighth annual installment of Capital One's The Match.
This will mark the second time Curry and Mahomes have competed on The Match following the last competition in 2020, with their partners, Thompson and Kelce, respectively.
Their partners will be making their debut appearances. While the two opponents share mutual respect as champions within their sports, their competitive natures would inevitably lead to some tremendous scrap talk throughout the event. Curry had already conveyed the friendly banter by poking fun at the superstar Chiefs quarterback.
Constantly scouring each other, Curry called out Mahomes and Kelce right before the encounter. A golf lover, Tom Brady couldn't help but react to Curry's message.
However, the video shared by Curry on Instagram took a dig at the Kansas City Chiefs 30-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in 2021. The four-time NBA Champion was watching the game while holding a golf club he'll be using for the challenge capturing; Idk if y'all are ready for us @killatrav @patrickmahomes. See you on the course.
Brady liked the post and commented with a few laughing emojis to go with it.

Although Tom Brady is not participating in the challenge, he is no stranger to golf or the annual event 'The Match.' At the charity golf event held at the Wynn Golf Club on the Las Vegas Strip In 2022, Brady and Aaron Radgers were the celebrity pair to beat Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen.
Fans seem to enjoy the interaction between Brady and the other stars. However, they wonder if Mahomes would reply with a dig at the infamous 2016 Warriors finals loss to LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Despite the constant back and forth, Curry has always appreciated Kelce and Mahomes; however, the banter reflects their excitement.
