After previously suffering a broken leg in 2014 while competing for a spot on the United States national team for the FIBA basketball world cup, which resulted in him missing most of the 2014/2015 season, the eight-time NBA all-star Paul George also known as PG -13 would not want a rerun of such a season.

Unfortunately, in the last game against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday, the NBA star injured his right knee with 4:38 minutes remaining till the end of the game.

On a one-on-one with Oklahoma City's Luguentz Dort on a rebound, George went down, probably the last thing the Clippers team was expecting, seeing as he was already doing so well in the game. His right knee visibly buckled as he went knee to knee with Dort.

From the eye of a spectator, the player was obviously in serious pain as he stayed glued to the ground until he was assisted back to the trainer's room.

Without Paul George in the game, Kuwahi Leonard attempted to equalize the 101-100 scoreboard, which was scored by the former Clipper player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander but was too late to make the shot.

How bad Paul George's knee injury is, is unknown as he has said nothing. We are left to believe that it would not be as serious as his previous injury. Although it is obvious that he hyperextended his knee. Talking to the player Luguentz Dort he said "I didn't do it on purpose, definitely an accident"  and Leonard said "I did not see the play, I just thought it he got hit in the face at a time"

What Fans Had To Say

After the game, the Clippers shared a post on Paul's incredible  360 dunks during the game before his injury but fans were more interested in what the rest of the season would be without him and others were curious about his fate as they swooped into the comment section. A fan stated "well there goes our season😓 get better PG" another fan commented, "season's over. PG did for the year and TY Lue still can't make rotations to save his life".  Another fan who was more concerned about PG than the game commented "Get better soon PG. Hoping and praying the injury is not too serious".

Other NBA players expressed their sympathy for PG on Twitter. Lebron James tweeted "man just landed and got a message about Paul_george, made me sick to my stomach!! Praying for you a speedy recovery homie!!!".

As it is, all we can do is wait and expect updates although the fate of the Clippers this season is not known because concerning PG's last injury, he did not participate again that season and the coach had also told the media that everything was on hold because of Paul George's injury then. The team is currently number 5 on the table but for how long?
