According to reports, Mercedes is gearing up to offer Max Verstappen the highest salary ever given to an F1 driver.

As a German automaker known for its competitive spirit and strategic planning, Mercedes is working on crafting an offer that would surpass the earnings of its current top driver, Lewis Hamilton.

At the time of the Miami Grand Prix, rumors were swirling around that Mercedes was planning to offer Max Verstappen a whopping €150 million per year.

This record-breaking offer would not only surpass previous salary records but also underscore the intense rivalry among the top Formula 1 teams to lure the best drivers to their team.

Since joining Red Bull Racing in 2016, Dutch driver Max Verstappen has become known for his aggressive style and multiple wins, marking him as a future legend in racing.

For Mercedes, securing Verstappen would be a major victory as they prepare for a future beyond their long-time star, Lewis Hamilton.

While Sergio Perez remains committed to Red Bull, Max Verstappen has been dealing with rumors about moving to Mercedes.

Red Bull’s Team Principal, Christian Horner, has tried unsuccessfully to counter Mercedes’ boss, Toto Wolff.

With Lewis Hamilton set to join Ferrari in 2025, speculation is rife about who will replace him. Could it be Antonelli, Sainz, or Alonso?

Amid internal investigations and reported conflicts within Red Bull’s leadership, Verstappen's move could be likely.

There are questions about whether Helmut Marko would also join him at Mercedes, marking another major shift in the team’s dynamics.

If Verstappen Were to Depart From Red Bull, Who Would Be His Replacement?

If Max Verstappen leaves Red Bull, finding his replacement for the 2025 season could be challenging, as most top drivers are already contracted. Red Bull would need a new lead driver, but options are limited.

Carlos Sainz emerges as the most likely candidate. Red Bull advisor Marko has indicated that negotiations with the Ferrari driver are already underway. Sainz, previously with Red Bull, could make a comeback to the team.

Another potential choice is Lando Norris, who has consistently been on Red Bull's radar. Although Norris has declined Red Bull's offers in the past, Verstappen's exit might persuade him to leave McLaren and join Red Bull.
