Eddie Hall, the former World's Strongest Man, made a triumphant MMA debut in a freak fight against two smaller opponents, leaving fans stunned and earning himself a reputation as a formidable force in the octagon.
However, Hall has since admitted to taking things too far in the fight, breaking an agreement not to use power bombs.
Eddie Hall had earlier fought against Thor Bjornsson in the boxing ring, followed by his decision to take on an MMA fight against two influencers in the Freak Fight League.
The bout was an unconventional 2-vs-1 fight, with Hall facing off against two opponents at once.
In the final round, Hall suplexed one opponent before knocking the other out cold with a devastating shot.
Hall's victory was a testament to his strength and power, but he has since revealed that he broke an agreement not to use power bombs during the fight.
In an interview with ex-UFC legend, Demetrious Johnson, Hall said, "In training, we get a lot of picking up and using their body against the other one. We had a little bit of agreement in place where I wasn't allowed to slam them down, so no power bombs were allowed. I had to do a lot of training in picking up and letting go. Initially the aim was to throw him on the other brother to cause chaos."
He explained further, "I didn't quite get that, I picked one up and then went to do the exact same thing with the other one. I wanted to do the same, but I couldn't get the grip on his stomach, so I couldn't do the plan. But instead, he just walked into a shot, and I let my hands go and bang.”
Eddie Hall's admission has sparked a debate among MMA fans and commentators.
However, Hall remains unapologetic, stating that the fight was "five seconds of madness" that went viral and couldn't have happened any better.
The victory was a much-needed boost for Hall, who had faced a tough time after the cancellation of an MMA tournament in Qatar and a dispute he had because he did not receive full payment for his defeat to Bjornsson. However, he is now hopeful of securing his future with new bouts.
Meanwhile, Eddie Hall is also trying to organize a potential showdown with former five-time World's Strongest man Mariusz Pudzianowski, who had a wealth of experience in fighting.
Eddie Hall has revealed that talks are underway with several promotions to give the huge event a platform, and he is eager to take on the experienced Pudzianowski.
Despite being intimidated by his opponent's 15+ years of experience in MMA, Hall is confident in his abilities. He commented, "One thing is for sure, I'll come in with two biceps and be fully prepared for a bloodbath.”
Fans can relive the thrilling Eddie Hall MMA full fight and look forward to his next bout, potentially against Mariusz Pudzianowski.
