- One-time NFL player Sergio Brown has been reported to be missing after his mother was found murdered near their home in Chicago.
- Close neighbors of Sergio Brown have pointed out that the former NFL player has been acting suspiciously recently after he was found.
Sergio Brown was a former American football player who was active on the field from 2010 till 2016. Sergio Brown played for the Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, and Buffalo Bills before signing out of the field in 2016.
According to the Maywood Police Department, Sergio Brown's mother, Myrtle Brown, was found dead with several injuries after being brutally assaulted in a location near her home in Chicago.
The body was discovered on Saturday after close acquaintances reported that they could not contact the son and the now-deceased mother before the shocking discovery of death.
Her body was later taken to the Cook County Medical Office for examination, which later confirmed that her death resulted from homicide and assault-related injuries. It is still not clear what led to her death or the circumstances that surrounded the homicide, but the Maywood Police Department has yet to give any report of the possible suspects.
Even after the body of Sergio's mother was found, families were still in unrest as Sergio himself was still nowhere to be found, making his brother Nick Brown share a panic post on Instagram to declare his brother was still missing.
His brother made the announcement on the popular social media platform urging anyone who knew Sergio's whereabouts tpo report to the authorities.
"If you have any useful information about Sergio or his whereabouts, kindly send it to the Maywood Police Department," he wrote.
However, things took a different turn, and a little bit of relief after Sergio appeared back online, looking all good and healthy with no sign of attack or injury.
The Shocking Turn Of Event
To the shock of everyone, Sergio Brown appeared on Instagram with a weird video claiming that his mother was supposed to be on holiday and that some law enforcement agencies had kidnapped him earlier.
In the video, he started by talking about some supposed fake news and continued with some rants about the FBI. He claimed that he believed that his mother was on vacation. He also accused the Maywood Police Department claiming he was kidnapped by one or some of them twice.

Although, Sergio has not been termed as the suspect, as it is still not clear if he is involved in the murder or not. But close neighbors disclosed that they noticed unusual changes in his behavior before he went missing with his now late mother last week. The Browns family also attested that he has not been himself in the past few months, saying that he has been out of his mind.
Friends say that the late Myrtle Brown (73 years) was a jovial, lovely, outgoing woman. She enjoys dancing and enjoys dancing.
"She was too good of a person to die like that, she didn't deserve it, it's just so sad," One of her close relatives said.
Nick Brown also recalled one of the conversations he had with her. He said, "My mom always told me that hard times don't last, our last discussion about tough times is a day of hope."
