Premier League action returns as August 16 Premier League Opening Day sees Manchester United welcome Fulham at Old Trafford. Besides the many other conversations around the 2024/2025 EPL season, fans and pundits are looking out for the biggest new player signings in the league.

This post reviews top new Premier League players to watch out for in the new Premier League season as everyone looks out for the potential next breakout EPL star in a debut season.

Niclas Fullkrug (Borussia Dortmund to West Ham)

Fullkrug boasts some of the best hold-up play in Europe. After putting up a fine season for Borussia Dortmund and Germany, the prolific forward's move to EPL side West Ham is definitely one to look out for.

The 31-year-old netted 15 times for Dortmund last season, with 13 goals in 21 games for Germany during the past two years. There'll be no surprise if Fullkrug makes the top scorer standings by the end of the new season.

Riccardo Calafiori (Bologna to Arsenal)

Riccardo Calafiori ticks all of Mikel Arteta's boxes and has earned the title of one of the most renowned new player signings during the ongoing summer transfer window. Calafiori, 22, was a star for Bologna last season while playing as a left-back or center-back.

He also put forward a fine form for Italy, despite his country's poor outing at the EUROS. Calafiori’s magical long-range passing skills could give the Gunners a crucial additional boost to their playing style as they continue their title chase next season.

Daichi Kamada (Lazio to Crystal Palace)

Signed as a direct replacement for Michael Olise, Japanese playmaker Daichi Kamanda is on the lips of Crystal Palace fans and pundits for being a mouthwatering bargain. The 28-year-old will play as one of the two playmakers for the team alongside Eberechi Eze.

Meanwhile, Kamanda is already showing the stuff he's made of after scoring in Crystal Palace’s 1-1 draw against Nantes to finish preseason with his new club. The former Lazio player was on a free transfer and now links up with his former manager, Oliver Glanser, who coached him while he played at Eintracht Frankfurt. Hopefully, Kamanda’s presence could boost spectator attendance at Selhurst Park this season.

Joshua Zirkzee (Bologna to Manchester United)

23-year-old Dutch International forward, Joshua Zirkzee, gallantly spearheaded Bologna’s notable Champions League qualification with 11 goals in Serie A. Although Old Trafford is expected to pose a bigger challenge for the striker, Zirkzee looks poised to provide both creativity and directness to Erik Ten Hag’s attack in the new premier league season.

Savinho (Troyes to Manchester City)

20-year-old Savinho looks ready to dazzle in the Premier League after a fine season in La Liga that helped Girona qualify for Champions League football. Savinho, who already impressed Guardiola in his debut in City's Community Shield win against Manchester United, could just be one of the most impressive new signings of the EPL as Man City seeks to defend their title in the 2024/2025 season.

Final Thoughts

As the summer transfer window peaks and the Premier League Opening Day nears, pundits and fans are on the lookout for potential breakout EPL stars in their debut season. From all indications, Fullkrug, Calafiori, Kamanda, Zirkzee, and Savinho may just fit into that description perfectly when the 2024/2025 season closes.
