Ryder Cup captain Bradley claims winning point as Team USA secures a record-extending 10th consecutive Presidents Cup victory. Team USA's victory over the International Team saw them finish 18.5-11.5 on the final day continuing US dominance at the biennial.

After winning six of the eight available points on Saturday, Jim Furyk’s side took an 11-7 advantage into the final day. With only 4.5 more points away from the 12 singles matches, team USA looked set to triumph in Canada.

Xander Schauffele ousted Jason Day in the top match, helping the United States secure further full points through Russel Henley and Patrick Cantlay, leaving them closer to victory despite former Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama defeating world No 1 Scottie Scheffler.

Sam Burns claimed a portion of the spoils with Tom Kim. Bradley survived a late slump to beat Si Woo Kim on the final hole, adding up the US’ points to 15.5 despite having five matches still on the course.

Generally, Team USA won six and tied three matches in the singles to extend their winning margin following a thrilling four-day event that saw the Internationals impress in large spells. Sadly, the Internationals' remarkable display fell short of granting them their first Presidents Cup victory since 1998. No doubt, the fierce contest shows why even legendary NBA players who have played in the biggest NBA venues love the game.

Team USA Continues Dominance in Presidents Cup

Team USA, led by two-time major champion Xander Schauffele, has continued to demonstrate intense dominance in the Presidents Cup. Describing their latest victory, winning captain Furyk told Golf Channel, "We've put a lot of heart and soul into it. Ultimately these players were amazing. It was a really good group of 12, an easy bunch. I had great leadership at the top."

Captain Furyk further added that his team made his responsibilities easier after playing “their hearts out this week.” “We talked about being a dog all week, being the tougher team. I just feel like those back nine holes if you look at how many holes won and lost, I’ve got to feel like we kind of owned the back nine this week, and that was the difference.”

Meanwhile, the DP World Tour continues to Scotland for the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship featuring Rory Mcllroy while the PGA Tour holds in Mississippi for the Sanderson Farms Championship. Team USA will look to regain the Ryder Cup from September 26-28 next year at Bethpage Black against Team Europe.

Wrapping Up

Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley secures the winning point as Team USA triumphs in Canada after beating International Team 18.5-11.5 on the final day. USA's victory marks their record-extending 10th consecutive Presidents Cup while the International Team's spectacular performance couldn't record them another win after their last triumph in 1998.
